Ever had the feeling that you simply wanted to tell you boss off for doing something that made your job difficult and you never had the nerve to do it? Well, according to the Blaze there was an employee in Michigan who decided that he needed to send a clear message to his boss and do it in a public way. That’s right when his boss was late to relieve him for the third shift at a gas station he left him a message on a note.
When the manager arrived late, she was greeted by the employee’s note and perhaps a little humiliation to go along with it. It was attached to a locked door and it was unapologetic.
The note read: “Hey boss, learn to be on time or at least communicate when you are going to be late. +1 hour with no phone call is unacceptable. As you can see, the doors are locked. I went home. Fire me if you must, but realize I walked out due to YOUR negligence,” reported the Blaze.
So what is a boss to do when an employee has put your business out on the street? The BC gas station manager confessed to sleeping through the alarm, but was displeased to find the public note. She explained that the employee did not call any of the other employees who could have covered the gas station. But to be honest was that the employee Joe’s responsibility or hers?
Of course there are a lot of questions that arise like, does the employee who penned the note still have a job. But for the manager who could not answer her clock alarm, she has to wonder if she did fire the angry employee, she may have to hire two employees since there was already a “Help Wanted” sign hanging behind the note.
