Emmara Tandris to receive 'Magic: The Gathering' card form in 'Dragon's Maze' (Photos)

Today Feb. 21, 2013 "Magic: The Gathering" creative team member Doug Beyer revealed that the elf healer Emmara Tandris from "Agents of Artifice" would be appearing in card form in Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert "Magic" expansion set "Dragon's Maze" because of the pivotal role she played in "The Secretist" during an interview on Forbes.com by Daniel Tack.

One character in "Dragon’s Maze," the elf healer Emmara, was given a card solely because I wanted her to be important in the story. Emmara has her roots in another Magic story, "Agents of Artifice" by Ari Marmell, and she became important enough in "The Secretist "that we decided she needed to make an appearance in the game.

Emmara Tandris belongs to the Selesnya Conclave and is a close friend of Jace.

"Magic: The Gathering" has a long history of legendary elves. You can check them all out in the attached slideshow.

There's a high probability Emmara Tandris will be a mythic rare. If we take a look at the 31 legends currently in Standard just six of them are rare:

The other 25 legends in Standard are mythic rare.

"The Secretist" part two comes out Feb. 26, 2013 and is currently available for preorder for $1.99. You can pick up part one now for $1.99.
