The Emma Watson rumors are topping “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie headlines this week, as the Huffington Post confirmed this Sunday, March 17, that Emma Watson is quite simply done with the casting rumors of her as Anastasia Steele. Although the hotly contested role is still open to quite a few potential actresses, it seems this “Harry Potter” star won’t be playing Christian Grey’s innocent lover onscreen anytime soon.
Under the headline, “Emma Watson rumors debunked: Starlet slams “Fifty Shades of Grey” casting talk”, sources report that Watson took to Twitter this week to let her fans — and those of the “Fifty Shades” fandom as well — that despite news of her reportedly being mentioned in top-secret files as a top candidate for Anastasia Steele, these are simply not true.
“Who here actually thinks I would do 50 shades of grey as a movie? Like really? For real. In real life?"
Good. Well, that’s sorted then. :)”
This of course isn’t the first time that the talented actress has been considered for the role of Ana in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” film, but it may very well be the last.
Fellow “Fifty Shades” fans, are you happy Emma has said no to the part — EL James’ erotic movie is still reported to have a possible release date as soon as summer 2014, though this does seem in very high hopes — if only to make room for other fan favorites in the top ten list? We shall have to see.
