Guillermo del Toro has been a busy man lately; from directing “Pacific Rim” to producing “Mama,” and that doesn't even scratch the surface.
His next directorial effort will be “Crimson Peak,” a haunted house movie from Legendary Pictures (“300”).
If you haven't seen "Dont Be Afraid of the Dark" (and many haven't) it gives you a good idea as to how well Guillermo can creepify (real word I swear) a house, and that has me excited (even though that movie wasn't good).
Variety revealed yesterday that Emma Stone (“Gangster Squad”) is now expected to sign on to the horror film, and production is set to begin later this year.
While not much is known about the project it is still exciting to know that del Toro is heading back into horror territory with his directorial talents (“Mimic” is a classic), and having Emma Stone’s current star power and draw is sure to help the box office numbers.
