Emma Stone was a red carpet standout at Thursday night’s New York City premiere of "Amazing Spider-Man 2," with new bangs and an edgy, wavy, ombré-colored bob. Us Weekly reported how-to get Emma Stone’s celebrity hairstyle on Friday and the Hair Care Examiner has a few additional tips to recreate this look at home.

To complement Emma Stone’s Prada gown Emma Stone was a walking billboard for Revlon and L’Oreal Paris. According to Us Weekly the “Amazing Spider-Man 2” actress’ face was the canvas for mostly Revlon Cosmetics on the lips, face and cheeks, however Chanel Aqua Crayon Lip Colour Stick in Rosewood outlined Emma Stone’s pout.

For Emma Stone’s trendy wavy bob she turned to Mara Roszak who secured the tousled effect with finishing products from L’Oreal Paris. After drying the 25-year-old’s hair, her celebrity hairstylist set it with Velcro rollers, and then alternated the curls with a one and a quarter-inch curling iron, sprayed it with texture spray, and loosened the curls with her fingers and the blow dryer.

Emma Stone is just one of many celebrities to don the wavy, edgy bob in one variation or another. Most recently Jennifer Lawrence has grown her short pixie into a choppy bob and Beyoncé has created a new hair trend, the “wob” or wet bob. Kelly Ripa's bob and her television popularity have created quite a stir in hair salons with clients’ who wish to emulate her waves daily.

To create loose waves for busy women, it isn’t necessary to set with Velcro rollers when time is a necessity. Volume could be created with professional hair care products, so ask your hairstylist what he or she recommends, as they know your hair best. Also to recreate Emma Stone’s waves, it is imperative not to curl the hair tightly to the scalp, but to wind the hair loosely around the iron, at least one-inch away from the skin, depending upon the length of the hair.

As a licensed hairstylist, the Hair Care Examiner only recommends professional hair care products, not the ones that could be purchased in a local pharmacy or retail chain. For enduring waves as Emma Stone wore to the premiere of “Amazing Spider-Man 2”, try Kenra's Thermal Styling Spray before you curl, and to add volume without rollers use Big Sexy Hair Powder Play before or even after blow-drying.
