You know you really made it when those who already have made it become big fans of yours. Such is the case for rapper Macklemore who burst onto the hip hop scene with chart topping hits like "Thrift Shop" and "Same Love". His lyrical ability and songwriting skills has made Eminem a big fan of his. As ABC Indianapolis affiliate RTV6 reports on December 1, Macklemore is both stunned and thrilled after learning about one of his biggest fans.

Eminem praised Macklemore & Ryan Lewis in a new Rolling Stone article and said he is a fan of their new album "The Heist". Eminem told Rolling Stone:

"He's really dope...I think there's very technical s**t that he does. He's a really good songwriter, too. Conceptually, the s**t he does is pretty f**kin' incredible."

This says a lot coming from an artist known for his own lyrical brilliance although controversial at times. It also means a lot to Macklemore because not only is it coming from a big star like Eminem, it is also coming from someone he is competing with on top of the charts. It also came as a big deal to the Seattle based rapper because Eminem praised the technical stuff and his songwriting.

"To have Em validate that - I mean, that's like the technician of technical rap. So that was super fresh to me. and obviously he's Em, he's one of the best rappers ever."

When you have the type of year Macklemore has had, people notice. As evident by Eminem's endorsement, even the best in the business become fans.
