Could Ziva's shoes already be filled? It appears it might just be so.
On September 17, 2013, it was announced that actress Emily Wickersham ("Sopranos," "The Bridge") will join the cast of "NCIS" as Bishop, a woman who's "bright, educated, athletic, attractive, fresh-faced, focused, and somewhat socially awkward."
Wickersham is rumored to appear in three episodes of the eleventh season of the series with an option to appear as a regular. Her first appearance on the top rated CBS drama will be in November during the sweeps period.
Fans were stunned when long time regular Cote de Pablo announced in July her decision not to renew her contract with the series. CBS CEO Les Moonves offered the actress a hefty chunk of change to change her mind, but de Pablo declined. Per Moonves,
We offered Cote de Pablo a lot of money — and then we offered even more money. We didn't want to lose her. We love her ... We obviously were in discussion with the rest of the cast and the producers (and Cote). Ultimately, she decided she didn't want to do the show."
de Pablo will return for the first two episodes of the season in order to tie up loose ends with character Ziva David's story line and then will make her exit from the series.
So what do you think of the news? Are you excited to see the changes at "NCIS?"
