Emily VanCamp plays love interest in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'

Deadline has reported that Revenge star Emily VanCamp has signed on as the love interest of Chris Evans in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which will focus on Cap's alliance with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and S.H.I.E.L.D. -- as well as his best friend Bucky's transformation of becoming the titular antagonist, a cold-blooded killer for the Russians.

Besides her breakout role as anti-heroine vixen Emily Thorne on the hit ABC primetime soap, Emily is also best known for her roles on Greg Berlanti's acclaimed dramas Everwood and Brothers & Sisters.

The Winter Soldier is the upcoming sequel to 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger, the birth of Steve Rogers becoming the world's first super-soldier: a symbol of freedom, liberty, and justice against the forces of evil.

Still yet to begin shooting, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is scheduled to be released on April 4, 2014.
