Emily The Strange makes exclusive retail appearance at Royal/T cafe (Photos)

Very Strange Days are in store for Royal/T café and art space.

The colorful Culver City café and exhibition space will be playing host to pop culture icon, Emily The Strange and her four mysterious black cats in an exclusive four-week retail engagement.

Since her first appearance on a skateboard deck in 1993, Emily The Strange's disarming "be yourself" approach to life has been empowering teens and encouraging them to embrace what makes them different and unique.

The shop will feature lots of Strange merchandise for her fans, including:

  • Emily The Strange limited edition dolls ($59.99)
  • Emily The Strange Epiphone electric guitar ($399.99)
  • The “Art of Emily The Strange” from Dark Horse Comics ($22.95)
  • Emily The Strange kitty masks ($3.99)
  • Original artwork, prints, t‐shirts, sleepwear, and collectibles.

The Royal/T café will be celebrating Emily's limited engagement with a “Strange Brew” Chocolate Pangea Tea ($4.50/$7.50) and Black Kitty cupcakes from Hot Cakes Bakes. ($3 each)

An opening reception and Kitty Masquerade party will take place Tuesday, October 26th from 8 PM to 11PM. Featuring live DJ sets by Alphabeast, (Artist Tim Biskup) an Emily The Strange costume contest, food trucks, celebrity guests and hourly giveaways at "The Wheel of Misfortune," the event will be co-sponsored by EMI virgin records, the same company that will be producing Emily's debut record in early 2011.
