Emily Spadavecchia is a starter and co-captain for Clarkstown South JV. She is a versatile player who helps her team both inside and outside. She plays inside on defense, covering her opponent's tallest player. She works for rebounds and posts up. She can also lead a fast break, drive to the basket, and draws a lot of fouls.

On December 27, 2013, South's JV played against Usuline. At the half time, Ursuline led 21-15. At the end of the third quarter, Ursline still maintained the lead with a score of 32-27.

With 3:10 remaining in the game, Clarkstown South tied it up, 37-37 when they scored a foul shot and drew the foul. They made the foul shot to earn the first lead in the game, 38-37.

With :42 seconds remaining Clarkstown South led 40-37. Ursuline responded by working to get the ball back to the basket. They scored and only trailed by 1 point, 40-39, with :14.8 seconds remaining. Ursuline then stole the ball back and drove down the right side of the court. They scored with a floater off the glass from just outside the paint. Ursuline won the game, 41-40.
