“Emily Owens, M.D.” fans are used to watching Emily (Mamie Gummer) battle with Cassandra (Aja Naomi King) for Will’s (Justin Hartley) affections. But what happens when all three of them are in competition for something?
On Wednesday, The CW released spoilers for the upcoming episode, “Emily and the Teapot.” In the episode, Emily, Will and Cassandra are in contention to become Dr. Bandari’s (Necar Zadegan) research assistant. Part of the process involves each candidate describing the other candidates’ flaws. This leads to hurt feelings all around.
Emily also has a medical mystery on her hands in the episode after an x-ray of a young patient reveals a bullet lodged in his lung, but he has no signs of a gunshot wound or scar. Another patient, a daredevil with a rare disease, leads to Emily coming to a revelation about her personal life after seeing her patient forced to change his entire life.
“Emily Owens, M.D.” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. CST on The CW. “Emily and the Teapot” will air Jan. 22.
