Emily Maynard isn't looking for a husband at the moment. The former "Bachelorette" seems perfectly content raising her daughter, Ricki, and doing her own thing right now. On Aug. 26, MSN News reported that the single mom isn't spending her days worrying about getting married. With new endeavors in her life, Em is just really enjoying her day-to-day journey.
"Right now, I am under no pressure to find a guy. I'm figuring it out on my own. But I will say this: When I do find him, this man will be the best because he'll be someone who adds something pretty spectacular to our lives," said Emily.
Emily Maynard could have had a husband in Brad Womack, whom she met and became engaged to on "The Bachelor." Things between them didn't work out and they broke up just weeks after Brad put a ring on it. Emily then looked for love on "The Bachelorette" and while things with her pick, Jef, seemed to be going really well, the two broke up after a trip to Africa just weeks after the "After the Final Rose" special on ABC.
Now, Emily is not focusing on finding a guy to complete her family. She and her daughter Ricki, 8, are the best of friends and they do everything together. If Emily did meet a man, she would likely be open to getting married -- but she's doing it for the right reasons and she certainly isn't rushing into anything.
Finding Emily Maynard a husband was a priority for ABC but not for the blonde beauty herself. She's a strong, independent woman and she's cool with that.
