Bachelorette” star Emily Maynard has now confirmed that she is no longer with Jef Holm after he changed his Facebook status yesterday to single. But she is now sharing some details about the breakup, according to a new “Hollywood Life” report released on Oct. 17. In this new report, Emily finally gives the details as to why this couple is no longer together. For one, they are no longer engaged and they are not getting married.

Emily Maynard gave an official statement about what went wrong, so fans know exactly why this cute couple is no longer together. “I am sorry to tell you that Jef and I have, indeed, parted ways,” Emily explains in her statement. “It was a very difficult and heartbreaking decision. As you know, at first I wasn’t sure that I should even be “The Bachelorette,” but I am a hopeless romantic and I do believe in the show. I have no regrets because I did find love and shared an incredible journey with a really special person – and you know what, we tried our best because the love between us was so real.”

“Bachelorette” star Emily Maynard doesn’t give too many details as to what happened during the discussion where they decided to call it quits, but one could imagine that Jef enjoyed the fame and attention from women after the show, just like Chris Bukowski did. And while he was enjoying the attention, Emily just wanted to play family with little Ricki. “I have nothing but respect and love for Jef and his family, but ultimately we are just at different points in our lives,” she continues, which could hint at the above theory. “I’ve learned so much and I’m grateful for all of the support I’ve received. I’m excited and hopeful for the next chapter in my life with my daughter, Ricki. I do hope that you will respect our privacy and allow us the time we need to heal,” she continues.

Do you think Jef was ready for a family?
