New reports have surfaced that Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke suffered a brain aneurysm earlier this year. While these reports have not been verified by Clarke’s representative, insiders have leaked that she was admitted to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in NYC around the time she finished her stint in the Broadway Musical, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” An aneurysm occurs when part of a blood vessel (artery) or cardiac chamber swells, - either the blood vessel is damaged or there is a weakness in the wall of the blood vessel. These can occur in any part of the body. It’s uncertain what caused this in Emilia, Aneurysms can occur The insider told sources that everyone was “scared” for Clarke, but that she’s doing much better now. According to The Brain Aneurysm Foundation, an estimated 6 million people in the United States have an unruptured brain aneurysm, or 1 in 50 people. Scary stuff!
