Seattle band Grammatrain have reunited and are back in the studio recording for their first new album in over a decade. They wrote a Sounders-esque 'anthem' and then posted this in the Emerald City Supporters forums:
Grammatrain is currently recording a song in tribute to the Sounders and is planning to pitch it to the Sounders as a potential track to be played before matches, etc. We are a hard rock band who has recorded three albums with EMI.
There is a section of the song that features a stadium-esque chant in it, and we're looking for a large group of people to come to the studio next week and help record this part with us. The ECS is the first place we wanted to ask for volunteers, considering how great you sound at each match.

Needless to say by watching the video above it all came together and just under 20 Emerald City Supporters rallied to provide vocals.
The next step is getting the people who run the show at Qwest Field / Sounders FC to give the song some air time. From the most-recent posts in the ECS forums, it sounds like we all need to keep our ears open for the song sometime tomorrow night!

Wow, actual Seattle "sound" at the Sounders games? Wouldn't that be amazing. This song rocks - it captures what the fan experience is like, that's for sure. In Season II we need to bring the ECS and other supporter group experience out into the full stadium. This song (with an awesome chant to it) seems tailored to get that job done. Adrian, we want this song!
