Emerald City Roller Girls to donate portion of 2013’s profits to Womenspace

The Emerald City Roller Girls will donate a portion of the proceeds from their 2013 season to Womenspace, the "primary provider of intimate partner violence services."

ECRG fiercely supports community involvement and giving back to local nonprofit organizations. ECRG chose Womenspace as their 2013 beneficiary after learning Womenspace recently had to close its walk-in services due to budget cuts. You can learn more about Womenspace by visiting their website or coming to the next ECRG bout.

The Emerald City Roller Girlsnext bout is February 9th at the Lane Events Center. The first bout in the doubleheader features Eugene’s Flat Track Furies against the Sick Town Derby Dames of Corvallis. This will be followed by Eugene’s local teams, the Andromedolls and the Church of Sk8in, going head-to-head in a rematch from last season’s championship game.

As the Emerald City slogan goes, “Get up. Get down. Get derby!” on Saturday, February 9th! Tickets for the bout can be purchased in advance for $12 on Brown Paper Tickets or in person at the Ninkasi Tasting Room, Redoux Parlour, or Emerald City Skates. Or, you can get your tickets for $15 at the door. Children’s tickets (ages 6 to 10) are $5. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. The action begins at 6:00 p.m. Visit emeraldcityrollergirls.com for more information.
