Members of the Lane County Concussion, Eugene’s men’s roller derby league, will compete in Eugene for the first time at the Emerald City Roller Girls’ next bout, Saturday, March 16th. The Lane County Concussion is all-inclusive, with skaters of all ages (18 to 73!) and experience levels and many different backgrounds. You can learn more about LCC by visiting their Facebook page.
The March 16th bout will be a doubleheader. Fans will be introduced to men playing roller derby in the first bout, which will be a special co-ed mash up. The Emerald City all-star travel team Skatesaphrenics and Lane County Concussion skaters will mix-up into two teams to show how men and women can work together. This will be followed by a women’s bout between the Skatesaphrenics and Portland’s High Rollers.
Get in on all the roller derby action on Saturday, March 16th at the Lane Events Center. Tickets for the bout can be purchased in advance for $12 on-line or at Emerald City Skates, Redoux Parlour, or Ninkasi Tasting Room. Or, tickets will be $15 at the door. Children’s tickets (ages 6 to 10) are $5. A portion of the proceeds will go to Womenspace.
