The season of autumn is now upon us. Known as “fall” in most of North America, autumn is the time of year when the trees change colors and the leaves start falling to the ground. It is a time when the weather starts to turn colder and the days get shorter. Many people dislike the change in season from summer to autumn but there are many beautiful things about every season, as long as one knows where to look for them.
Autumn has many wonderful things to offer. Firstly, it is the most colorful season with beautiful colors on display everywhere. Secondly, those who dislike the intense heat of the summer find the cool winds of fall to be a sweet relief. Fall is also the time for Halloween and Thanksgiving—enjoyable holidays that ultimately lead into the Christmas season.
Fall offers harvests such as pumpkins and apples that can be picked and made into delicious meals. The colder days and quicker dark also give people more of a chance to do some work around the house and get some long-procrastinated chores done. It is a time where one can catch up on reading, curl up by the fireplace for the first time in months or even get a head-start on holiday shopping.
Autumn has a lot of marvelous things to offer and everyone—especially children—should be aware that every single season has something nice to be excited about and that helps people adjust to the changing of the season.
