Pop trio Emblem3's first U.S. tour since signing to Sony Music has sold out. The month-long tour began on Feb. 27, 2013 and ends on March 28, 2013. Meanwhile, Sony Music's Columbia Records announced on March 4, 2013, that Emblem3 is launching another U.S. tour called "Goin' Back 2 Cali" in April 2013, and the tour will start in New York City and end in California and "will allow fans to ... determine which city the band visits by voting their city online." The "Goin' Back 2 Cali" tour dates and ticket sales are to be announced.
In addition, Columbia Records also announced that "Chloe (You're the One I Want)" is the first single from Emblem3's first Sony Music album, whose title is to be announced. The release dates for the album and "Chloe (You're the One I Want)" are also to be announced.
Emblem3 came in fourth place on "The X Factor" U.S. in 2012. The three members of Emblem3 are Drew Chadwick (who is 20) and brothers Wesley Stromberg (who is 19) and Keaton Stromberg (who is 16). The group is originally from Sequim, Wash., but is now based in Huntington Beach, Calif.
As previously reported, tickets for the group's March 2013 concerts on East Coast and Midwest went on sale on March 2, 2013. A second date in Chicago was added for March 28, 2013, and that show sold out too.
Wesley Stromberg commented in a press release: “Wow, This is incredible, all sell-out shows. A year ago we played the Roxy to 20 people and Wednesday night [Feb. 27, 2013] it was packed! The energy from the fans has been amazing and we can’t wait to come to New York for the first time and play in front of all the Emblems, thank you and see you soon!”
During the tour's first show at The Roxy in West Hollywood, Calif., Emblem3 premiered three new songs: “XOXO,” “Chloe (You’re The One I Want)” and “Just for One Day.”
As previously reported, Emblem3 is signed to Mr. Kanani/Syco Music/Columbia Records, which are all Sony Music labels. The group's Sony Music debut album is being executive produced by Savan Kotecha, who has co-written hits for several artists, including Britney Spears, Usher, Westlife, as well as "X Factor" U.K. alumni One Direction, Cher Lloyd and Alexandra Burke.
Emblem3's album will be the first release from Mr. Kanani, which is Kotecha's label imprint.
