On the second season of the X Factor U.S., America was introduced to pop-rock trio Emblem3, consisting of brothers Wesley and Keaton Stromberg and close friend Drew Chadwick, who hail from Huntington Beach, California, and they captured almost every young girl’s heart who had tuned in to watch the competition.
After placing fourth in the last live show, the three decided that the loss wasn’t going to be the end of the band itself, and announced that they were in the process of recording their first studio album. The band embarked on a series of small promotional tours around America to promote their new music, with a speculated release date of summer 2013. Keeping their promise, their debut album Nothing To Lose was released through Simon Cowell’s record label, Syco Records, in July 2013. E3 was also voted as the Choice Breakout Group on the 2013 Teen Choice Awards, which was previously awarded to X Factor U.K. alumni One Direction. The band also served as one of Selena Gomez’s opening acts on her “Stars Dance Tour" in late 2013 to promote their debut album.
In December 2013, "#Bandlife Tour” was announced, which is considered to be Emblem3’s very first headlining tour. The trio is playing medium-sized standing room only venues all around the U.S. from mid-February to mid-March, ending the tour at the infamous Club Nokia venue in Los Angeles, California. Each night, the band takes to Twitter and Instagram and allows their fans to vote for one song to be played during their encore, using a hashtag designated for that city.
Emblem3 makes a stop in Tempe on Friday, March 14 with special guests Jackson Guthy and MKTO. The show is at Marquee Theater, with tickets available for $29 in advance or $30 the day of the show. Advanced tickets can be purchased through this link or in person at the Marquee box office, located at 730 N Mill Ave. Watch what you can expect from the tour in the first episode of the #Bandlife Tour diary (video above).
