Eman Moss and Tiffany Moss are the father and stepmother of 10-year-old Emani Moss and they have been arrested and charged with her murder. Police said Eman Moss called 911 around 4 a.m. Saturday and told the 911 operator that he wanted to commit suicide because his daughter had died from drinking an unknown chemical, according to an updated report from The Atlanta Journal Constitution on Nov. 4.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found Eman Moss in a breezeway of his apartment complex in Lawrenceville, a suburb in Atlanta.
After questioning from police, Moss admitted that “he panicked and did not know what to do,” so he put his daughter's dead body in a trash can outside his apartment building and attempted to burn the body.
Eman Moss then lead police to the body and they made the gruesome discovery inside the trash can. It was the badly burned body of 10-year-old Emani Moss.
Upon making the horrific discovery, Eman Moss and Tiffany Moss were immediately arrested. The couple, who each had previous child cruelty arrests, have been charged with felony murder, cruelty to children in the first degree, and concealing a death.
Both remain in custody at the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond. This story is still developing so be sure to return to this column or subscribe to receive updates on this tragic story.
