Elvis Duran and the Morning Show bid farewell to their co-worker TJ Taormina on Feb. 22. Radio host “TJ” is leaving Z100 to host his own radio show in Boston.
Taormina made his big announcement on Feb. 20 that he will be leaving New York’s top 40 hits radio show for the chance to host his own radio show at CBS Radio Top 40 (103.3 AMP Radio) located in Boston.
Elvis Duran divulged to Z100 morning listeners that TJ will begin his new life with girlfriend Jessica aka “Opal,” a nickname the morning crew adopted for her during a show interview.
TJ had been with the nationally syndicated radio program for close to 11 years; he began as an intern at age 17.
Duran and co-hosts “Skeery,” “Greg T,” “Froggy,” “Danielle” and “Bethany” celebrated TJ’s last day with carrot cake. Fans of TJ wished him well on-air with his new career out of state.
Elvis Duran and the Morning Show airs live on Z100 (100.3 FM) every weekday from 6 -10a.m. EST.
