Earlier in the month, Sasquatch! 2013 announced a very powerful and eclectic lineup. A few days later, the four-day event sold out in no less than 90 minutes.
Music fans fortunate enough to have scored tickets will be treated to an appearance by the legendary Elvis Costello and his band, The Imposters. Costello, along with Rusko and more have just been added to the already robust festival lineup.
Costello exploded onto the U.S. rock scene, appearing on Saturday Night Live Dec. 17, 1977, as a last minute replacement for the Sex Pistols, who were unable to obtain visas at the time.
After playing a few bars of "Less Than Zero," Costello stopped his band The Attractions, and launched into an inditement of the radio and music industry via the song "Radio Radio."
His antics earned him a "lifetime" banishment from Saturday Night Live, which lasted all of 12 years.
Since his provocative appearance on SNL, Costello has released a strong and musically daring body of work over the course of several decades, collaborating with industry heavyweights such as Paul McCartney, Burt Bacharach and Allen Toussaint.
Sasquatch! 2013 takes place Memorial Day weekend, May 24 – 27, will once again deliver a varied mix of local, national, and global artists from a variety of genres.
