Elton John and his band will rock Amway Center with his number one chart hits and classic album tracks from his five-decade career in music on March 10 at 8pm.
One of the most successful live bands on the road today, Elton and his band put on the kind of concert that will have the entire audience standing, dancing and singing along with classic songs like “Your Song”, “Rocket Man”, “Bennie and the Jets”, “Philadelphia Freedom”, “Crocodile Rock”, “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” and many more.
John’s band includes Davey Johnstone on guitar, Bob Birch on bass, John Mahon on percussion, Nigel Olsson on drums, and Kim Bullard on keyboards.
“Elton John is one of the preeminent entertainers of our day that we hoped to attract when we built the Amway Center and are honored to have him performing at our new venue,” says Allen Johnson, Amway Center Executive Director. “Within his vast collection of wonderful songs there is something that makes lasting memories in all of us. And his performances continue to captivate us over and over again.”
He is one of the top-selling solo artists of all time, with 35 gold and 25 platinum albums, 29 consecutive Top 40 hits, and he has sold more than 250 million records worldwide. John holds the record for the biggest selling single of all time, “Candle in the Wind ’97,” which sold 37 million copies.
