Even Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj could not compete for the spotlight with Sir Elton John and David Furnish’s son Zachary at an Oscar bash in West Hollywood Park, Los Angeles. Zachary’s parents welcomed some of Hollywood’s most stylish and talented actors to Elton John’s 21st annual Academy Awards party, which benefits HIV and AIDs research.
Forget the stunning actresses and supermodels. According to a Feb. 25, Daily Mail report, “a toddler in a tuxedo stole the show.” The star-in-the-making attended the bash, where he “glad-handed guests.” He reportedly gave high-fives to everyone from U2’s Bono to the pretty ladies.
According to Sky News, Zachary’s proud parents noted that he would not party late into the night. “We'll make sure they get home in time for their regular bath time, and story time with the nanny,” Furnish said. “Then we'll see them tomorrow morning, when we get back.” Zachary’s younger brother Elijah was born earlier this year.
Elton John’s annual party has raised nearly $34 million for HIV research, Sky News reported. The star opened up about the charity on the red carpet, discussing how the funds have changed the lives of those living with HIV and AIDs. “The thing is, it's a very treatable disease now,” he said. “We've come so far medically that you can treat the disease and it's easier than diabetes. It's much simpler and people shouldn't have that stigma, but we need to have more compassion from people for one another. Every family must know someone who's had HIV and Aids.”
Celebrities at the event included Britney Spears, who sported darker locks, Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj and chef Gordon Ramsay.
