According to a Jan. 15 Daily Mail report, Elton John and David Furnish are parents to another boy. The couple welcomed their second son, Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John on Jan. 11. The couple’s new son who weighed in at 8lb 4oz was born via surrogate, Hello! reports.
The happy couple says Elijah completes their family. "Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable," the new parents told Hello! "The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way. It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time; we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement."
John and Furnish, who wed in 2005, reportedly used the same unnamed California-based surrogate mother who gave birth to their son Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John two years ago.
John has spoken in the past of his regret to wait so long to have his first child. "I regret a little bit that I didn’t do it sooner, but he [Zachary] has changed our lives," he said. "Everything is about him now. He’s gorgeous, he travels brilliantly, he so loves people, and it makes our lives - he’s the icing on the cake. It’s the most wonderful thing that you could possibly go through."
