Sir Elton John and David Furnish recently welcomed their second son, Elijah, into their family in Los Angeles.
The cost of the surrogacy for Elijah is reported to have been just £3,000 more than that of their first son Zachary. Zachary was born from the same woman on Christmas Day in 2010. The Sun has reported that John and Furnish organized this new surrogacy through the Center for Surrogate Parenting in Encino, California, which is a group which specializes in gay couples. Women who are used by the group must not be on benefits, not smoke, be physically fit and must already raising a child of their own.
