Elmwood Park’s Freedom Festival 2009 is a four day festival held at Elmwood Park High School, at 8201 W Fullerton Ave, in
Elmwood Park. The festival features food, carnival, fireworks, a Fourth of July parade and great musical entertainment, including Parry Smyth and Chicago Legends Ides of March with Jim Peterik and The Buckinghams featuring Carl Giammarese.

- 7 pm Tin Horse (Rockin’ Country)
- 9:30 pm Patty Smyth & Scandal - This Oscar and Grammy nominated 1980’s Rock Band has hits includes Goodbye to You, Love’s Got a Line on You and The Warrior.
- Friday, July 3 5 pm to 11 pm
- 7 pm – The Ides of March featuring Jim Peterik – The famous 1970-‘s Chicago band and songwriter perform hits including Vehicle, LA Goodbye, Eye of the Tiger and Hold on Loosely.
- 9:30 pm – The Buckinghams featuring Carl Giammarese - Famous 1970’s Chicago band and songwriter perform hits including Kind of a Drag, Don’t You Care, Mercy, Mercy, Mercy and Susan.
- Noon – Fourth of July Parade
- 3:30 pm The State Affair -Youth Rock Band
- 4:45 – Tonight the Prom -Youth Rock Band
- 6:30 pm – R-Gang (Elmwood Park Favorite, Motown, R&B)
- 9:00 pm BritBeat (Beatles Tribute, part 1)
