Ellicottville’s popular Summer Music Festival is back in 2014, bringing affordable fun and great music to families all over Western New York on the July 4th weekend. Advanced tickets for the Festival’s headline acts – the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra on Saturday, July 5th and the Gin Blossoms on Sunday, July 6th – start at just $25 for adults, and entrance for kids 12 and under is free. There will also be free parking, families will be allowed to bring their own picnic baskets to the shows, and the shows are wheelchair accessible.
Also taking place during Summer Music Festival weekend in Ellicottville: an arts and craft show, a Pet Parade, Strawberry Festival and other daytime entertainment in this historic village, as well as exploring Ellicottville’s shops and restaurants.
The Festival kicks off Friday, July 4th with the inaugural Holiday Valley Top of the Mountain Party, which begins with an almost mile-long chairlift ride to the top, where there will be food and drink stations and live entertainment. The BPO returns Saturday, July 5th for a full concert, including the 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky, complete with choreographed fireworks. On Sunday, July 6th, chart-toppers the Gin Blossoms take to the stage with hits like “Follow You Down,” “Allison Road” and “Til I Hear It From You.”
