According to MTV on Sept. 9, in an interview with Ellen Page, she talks about her desire to work on a solo "Kitty Pryde" film which was a concept thought up by Joss Whedon. She is to be appearing in the upcoming film "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and Joss Whedon has mentioned that he did wanted to develop a film for the mutant character.
Page mentions how she acknowledges how fans have such a passion for one of many of the comic book characters she portrays and likes the fact she is able to successfully deliver to fans the representation of said hero.
"I love that. Kitty Pryde's awesome. I'm super grateful to be the actress who's gotten to be her, and you only desperately hope that the true fans who have a right to demand what they want and who have been passionate about these stories for a really long time, that you can pull it off for them".
Pressure on her ability to pull off the Kitty Pryde character continues forward with Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Days of Future" past project as well. She speaks of how both Singer and Hugh Jackman is able to pull off what they can do with their talens in such a short time frame.
"I don't know how he pulls off everything he does in a day. He is really great with actors and really wants the truth of the performance to exist, to sort of elevate that kind of a film, which I feel he did with the first two 'X-Men' movies. He was sort of the first to take that kind of a spectacle of film and tell a deeply, deeply human story".
Page hopes to continue forth with the character even beyond "X-Men: Days of Future Past".
Also, even viral campagns for the film has been spread about via the mutant opposition involving the Sentinels as developed by Trask Industries.
"X-Men: Days of Future Past" is scheduled to be released on May 23, 2014.
