Actress Ellen Page was giving a speech in Las Vegas at the Human Rights Campaign’s THRIVE conference, which benefited LGBT youth. During her moving speech, she came out.
"I’m here today because I’m gay," the 26-year-old actress said. “And because maybe I can make a difference. To help others have an easier and more hopeful time. Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility.”
Shortly after Page made her speech, Time to THRIVE organizer Human Rights Campaign, tweeted the news. Since then, the actress received a huge amount of support from fans on Twitter.
I highly recommend watching the video, which now has more than two million views on it.
