Ellen Barkin is in a relationship with the 26 year-old son of the famous movie maker Barry Levinson, according to the Toronto Sun. He is the director who launched Barkin’s career, before the guy she is dating was even born.
Barkin, who is 57 has been with Sam Levinson, who is more than 30 years younger than she is, for two years. The two are living together, so it is more than dating.
Barkin and Levinson have not made any attempt to hide their relationship, they have been seen together all over the place. Last year at Sundance, the two were seen hugging and kissing, so it is not as if this was intended to be a big secret.
The couple met when Sam was writing Barkin’s 2010 film “Operation: Endgame.” Barkin is staring in Sam’s latest movie, “Another Happy Day.”
Barkin has kids close to the age of her boyfriend, but the age difference does not seem to bother either one of the two. If it were the other way around and Barkin was 26 and Levinson was 57, people would probably look at the couple differently and not much news would come out of it.
Barkin appears to have gotten some help with plastic surgery, although nothing has been said, it is apparent that her lips, eyes and brow area has been worked on. She does look different than she has in the past.
Connecticut fans of Ellen Barkin can see her in many of her movies this month on Connecticut’s Comcast Xfinity “On-Demand.”
