Ellen is in Australia. Comic Ellen DeGeneres has picked up her afternoon comedy show and moved it – temporarily – to her wife Portia’s native land. Ellen has been battling the flu for several days, reports Daily Mail, on Friday, March 22, but the 14-hour flight seems to have had rejuvenating powers. She looked great, sightseeing in Sydney with Portia de Rossi. Ellen’s mother, Betty, came along.
Details on the show will have to wait, but De Generes plans to film from Austrailia, on a working vacation. The vacation part started first, as the pair took a ferry trip around Sydney Harbor. No one who felt seriously sick would do that, when collapsing at Portia’s home was available.
“Portia's finally getting to show me her beautiful country,” Ellen tweeted. She posted a photograph of the two of them posing in front of Sydney’s favorite landmarks. Fans mobbed them at the dock. Then they went to the Taronga Zoo, where they cooed over koalas and petted a giraffe.
“I’m watching a documentary on Australia to get ready for my trip,” she tweeted Wednesday. “Okay, I'm watching Crocodile Dundee, but I'm learning so much.”
