Atlanta fashionistas, let’s go across The Pond to gain style and fashion inspiration from the 2012 Elle Style Awards at The Savoy Hotel on February 13, 2012 in London, England.
Most of the “it” girls of London were dressed to kill but model Alexa Chung chose to wear a plaid suit with tuxedo style jacket. If she wanted to stand out among the crowd, she certainly succeeded!
Unusual that the bottom half of her retro fitted trousers were in brocade, drawing the attending to the lower half of her body, well below the knee.
Gentile-hommes David Gandy (drools!), Bollywood star Anil Kapoor and Jamie Campbell Bower look awfully dapper in their grey ensembles (not altogether unlike Alexa!), as did William Banks-Blaney and Henry Holland in their dark suits.
Actress Gillian Anderson more than made up in the femininity quotient in her yellow gown with the empire waist and double bows in the back.
Poppy Delevingne wore her ultra-mini artsy dress that looked like a Gaughin painting, while Jessica Chastain kept things a little more subdued in her grey/black lace top and flared skirt, accessorized with a double-buckle belt.
Pixie Geldof was a hot chili pepper in her below-the-knee sheath that featured a variety of red peppers – not too hot to handle for Henry Holland as he posed with her for photos (love his hair)!
And last but not least, Rosie Huntington Whiteley looked stunning in her chiffon mini with the silver embroidery.
