Supermodel Elle Macpherson showed off her age-defying bikini body and still looks unbelievable at 50.

Macpherson posted a bikini photo on Twitter to promote her new line of alkalizing green juices called Super Elixir.

"When my body is in an alkaline state, when I am healthy and balanced; eating right and exercising properly, I feel better," Elle said on the company's website. "My moods are stabilized and I have a positive outlook."

Macpherson has previously credited a low-carb, high-protein organic diet for her super-fit physique. The Australian supermodel, who made the cover of the "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit issue a record five times, said maintaining her youthful bikini body requires constant upkeep.

“No one tells you this, but I’ve recognized it as I’ve grown older and wiser: Wellness, beauty, strength, good moods and stability require constant maintenance and constant tweaking,” Macpherson told Harper's Bazaar.

Low-Carb, High-Protein Organic Diet and Hour-Long Workouts

Elle, a mother of two boys, said she works out for at least an hour every day, either outdoors or at the gym.

When she's outdoors, she prefers to run, cycle, or swim at the beach. Other times, she takes a yoga or spin class. No matter what, Macpherson makes a point to exercise every day, both for her physical and emotional health. "I can't ever remember doing something physical and feeling worse," she said.

Macpherson, who was nicknamed "The Body" during her modeling heyday, is comfortable with getting older and has no desire to be younger. Elle, who has not gone overboard with much (or any) plastic surgery, joins a growing number of Hollywood beauties who say they prefer to age naturally.

Sharon Stone, who looks amazing at 56, maintains her sleek physique with regular exercise and a low-carb diet modeled after the popular low glycemic-index diet. Stone, who does Pilates and water workouts at her swimming pool, told E! Jane Fonda is her workout inspiration.

Whenever she doesn't feel like working out, Sharon said she remembers a quote Fonda cited in an interview 25 years ago: "If you're disciplined, you are free."

While she has always exuded a cool self-confidence, Stone admits dealing with aging has been really rough. "There was a point in my 40s when I went into the bathroom with a bottle of wine, locked the door, and said, ‘I’m not coming out until I can totally accept the way that I look right now,' " said Sharon.

Like Macpherson, Stone said she gradually resolved to age gracefully rather than fight the process, and feels more at peace with herself. Stone, who said she has never had plastic surgery, said she hopes society will begin to expand its definition of beauty to include older women.

"This idea that being youthful is the only thing that’s beautiful or attractive simply isn’t true," she said. "I don’t want to be an ‘ageless beauty.’ I want to be a woman who is the best I can be at my age.”
