As a stay at home mom, money may be tight. Going to the Elkhart County 4-H Fair can become too costly to take your family to when you are on a budget. There are days with specials that can make a trip to the fair possible for your family, even on a budget.
The fair starts Friday July 22, 2011 and ends Saturday July 30, 2011. The fair grounds are located at 17746-D County Road 34 Goshen, Indiana 46528, http://www.4hfair.org/direction.htm. There is free parking, free grandstand, regular admission is $8 and children 9 and under is free.
Sunday July 24, 2011 is no charge at gate. Friday July 22, 2011, Monday July 25, 2011, Thursday July 28, 2011, and Saturday July 30, 2011 are $20 wristband days. Senior citizens are admitted for free till 3:00 on Friday July 22, 2011 and Tuesday July 26, 2011. Wednesday July 27, 2011 is Kids day, with a super special Kiddieland wristband, which is $12. The Kiddieland wristband is good for the kid rides in Kiddieland, only from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
Visit http://www.4hfair.org/ for more information. The gates open at 8:30 A.M. and close at 11:00 P.M. The rides open at different times on each day, and there are height restrictions on all rides. All rides close at 11:00 P.M. each day. Even if the rides are not open there is still plenty to do at the fair. Walking around looking at the 4-H animals is something that most kids will enjoy.
