Elizabeth Taylor, Hollywood icon dies

Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor, DBE (Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire), one of the greatest Hollywood legends, was born on February 27, 1932 and died 79 years later on March 23, 2011.

ABC News reported that Elizabeth Taylor died surrounded by family members at Cedar-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California.

Dame Taylor was known as Liz Taylor and was an English-American actress, former child star who grew into a memorable iconic adult actress.  She was known for her acting talent and beauty, as well as her Hollywood lifestyle, including many marriages.

This talented icon was known also as one of the great actresses of Hollywood's golden age. The American Film Institute named Taylor seventh on its Female Legends list.
