Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor has passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011, surrounded by her four children at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 79, from congestive heart failure. Taylor's son, Michael Wilding, released this statement: "We will always be inspired by her enduring contribution to our world."

The violet-eyed, British born actress had suffered from numerous health problems since 1997 and was most recently hospitalized in Los Angeles at the beginning of February this year for congestive heart failure, a condition she has had since November 2004. She is survived by her four children, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Taylor is famous for legendary roles such as Father of the Bride, Cleopatra, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, BUtterfield 8 and Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolf?. With being a Hollywood icon and having an acting resume such as Dame Elizabeth Taylor, it is impossible to avoid touching lives.
