The Elizabeth Stampede Foundation is holding its first ever fundraising event called "Dinner-Dance-Romance" on Saturday February 12th at the Pike's Peak Grange in Franktown. The Foundation has grown out of the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo Association, which for years has been involved in fundraising locally in association with the very successful and well-known stampede held each year in the Town of Elizabeth. The Elizabeth Stampede Foundation, became a 501(c) 3 public charity approximately one year ago -its creation spurred by the desire to share the generosity of those that support the rodeo each year, the foundation was created to provide contributions to the community of Elizabeth, Colorado and surrounding communities, charitable organizations and individuals in need with funds generated through financial donations and fundraising efforts.
The Foundation commits to being "the trail in which the generosity of others will be returned to the community of Elizabeth, and its neighbors, enabling us to preserve the western legacy of providing support and assistance to those in need. Whether it's awarding scholarships for continued education, donating to charities, or just simply offering a little financial support to a family in need, the foundation will reach the lives of many. Our long-term goals include acquiring property and building a facility dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo and giving the community of Elizabeth, Colorado, and our neighbors, a permanent home to promote and foster our western traditions for many years come."
Dinner-Dance-Romance at the Pike's Peak Grange starts at 7pm, dinner served 7:30-9pm with live music featuring The McRae from 8pm until 1am. Don't miss the hourly door prizes which start at 7:30pm.
