Elizabeth Lambert, a junior defender from the New Mexico women’s soccer has been suspended indefinitely for her actions during Thursday night’s game against BYU during the semifinals of the Mountain West Conference Championship in Provo, Utah.
ESPN reported that Lambert has apologized for her actions, "I let my emotions get the best of me in a heated situation. I take full responsibility for my actions and accept any punishment felt necessary," Elizabeth Lambert said.
The video of the different offenses during the game can be seen below. During the game, she was carded for kicking the ball into the face of a BYU player.

I have read and viewed several roports about Elizabeth Lambert and her agressive actions in the BYU-New Mexico Soccer game, and that she has been suspended. But, in none of these reports does it say what she is suspended from. Is it from the soccer team? If so, the punisment is minimal because the soccer season is over for them. If she is from the School, it is a far more serious punishment. Can we get a clarification?
Hi Richard, it is my understanding that she has been suspended from the team, not the school.
looks like a love triangle. Lambert's angry #7 and #21 hugged, so she needed to get both of them back.
I'm no real analyst, but that's exactly what it looks like.
Lambert needs anger managment.
Shame on Lambert and your school.....
She should be kicked off the team. If it were a one time thing a suspension would be ok. This was over and over that she was caught on video doing these things which could have injured and jeopardized the opponents careers in college.
Elizabeth Lambert should not be allowed to play soccer in the United States again. We have all watched the likes of these bullies 'grow up' through the ranks, and she is finally getting caught. Lambert and her like give soccer a bad name, and should never be allowed to benefit from their 'cut-throat, not just competitive' tactics'. I would like to know who her parents are, and what other values they have instilled in her.
elizabeth lambert's name will forever be synonymous with poor sportsmanship. Monstrous behavior on lambert's part. What kind of parents does this young woman have? This kind of action, most times, begins at home. And now elizabeth lambert will have all her life to see herself act stupidly and cowardly towards others....from the magic of the internet. elizabeth lambert's children and grandchildren will get to see what kind of "woman" their mom and grandma was and is. Shameful, shameful actions by elizabeth lambert.
Lambert should be suspended from the school and never be allowed to play soccer any where, and we glorify her behavoir by showing in on tv and the inernet. She is not sorry and it was not in the heat of the moment when its one moment after another that she hurt other players.
Lambert needs her ugly face smashed in beyond all physical recognition.
I believe she probably has been a player that has played "dirty" throughout her years, perhaps coached or encouraged. We have all seen it and hated it for years. I think soccer should move to a penalty situation when a player leaves the field after the team commits 5 fouls or so for so many minutes. The amount of penalty stops impacts the flow of the game negatively. Playing with ten vs eleven might convince some coaches to take control of players that cross the line regularly.
its not her parents fault. shes just a dumb brat.
everyones so quick to blame her parents. shes just a dumb ho whos playing dirty.
how is the girl who;s hair was pulled
