Elizabeth Hasselbeck is staying on "The View." The Los Angeles Times broke the shocking news on March 11. Barbara Walters addressed the rumors this morning on the daytime talk show. She said that Elizabeth may leave someday, but not anytime soon.
News broke on Friday that Hasselbeck's contract hasn't been renewed. Some speculated that the co-host was leaving the controversial daytime talk show. Other reports emerged saying that Hasselbeck was the reason that the talk show received such low ratings. Producers were wanting to get rid of Hasselbeck for some time.
Walters squashed the rumors, saying that Hasselbeck is not leaving the show. She added that everyone on the set loves Hasselbeck. Despite her conservative views, the other co-hosts support and love her as well. Hasselbeck will remain on "The View" for now. She may leave someday, though.
Elizabeth Hasselbeck has been on "The View" since 1997. Fans were eager to say goodbye to the conservative and outspoken host. She's caused a rift with co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell in the past.
