Elizabeth Banks is making the rounds to promote "The LEGO Movie," set to hit theaters on Friday. While the actress, who appeared with Philip Seymour Hoffman on the "The Hunger Games" movies, spoke about her current project, she also talked about the "Capote" actor's untimely demise while appearing on "Today" on Feb. 6.
Banks' called her co-star "an absolutely amazing actor" and said the "Hunger Games" family is going to miss Hoffman "terribly." She called the horrible situation "a tragedy" and that she is still "processing" what seems to a surreal reality regarding the death of her co-star.
As for her banter about the "The Lego Movie," Elizabeth Banks chatted with a number of journalists and other interested parties on Wednesday. As well as the "Today Show," she hit "Extra" in Times Square with A.J. Calloway and a "LEGO Movie" screening at AMC Empire 25 in Manhattan all in the same day.
As she did her work, 39-year-old Elizabeth Banks was not averse to changing her clothes for each occasion.
She wore everything from a hot red frock for "Today" and then changed into a perky, two-toned mini dress by David Korma paired with Jimmy Choo ankle-strap heels that featured laser cuts for the screening.
Meanwhile, the versatile thespian's chat with Calloway saw the blonde beauty rocking a black-and-white top that matched her black-and-white bag as she entered the "Extra" set.
And so, as Elizabeth Banks mourns Philip Seymour Hoffman death, this hard-working artist talks about "The LEGO Movie" in which she co-stars with Chris Pratt.
