On January 22, 2014, Elite Styles Events will present the return of their Host in the City series with an Eco Fashion Event at “The Corner,” a trendy pop-up shop located street level at the Roger Smith Hotel, 501 Lexington Avenue in Midtown Manhattan from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Queork, a New Orleans-based line of handbags and fashion accessories made from genuine cork fabric has set up shop at The Corner where they will display and sell their unique product line of cork designs at a 30% discount the day of the event, and will give away an item of choice to one lucky guest.

The intimate pre-New York Fashion Week mixer invites guests to party with a purpose in celebration of sustainability fashion with cocktails and bites. Party goers will also get a chance to have a personalized fashion illustration created by “Would You Rock This?” Look for chic, eco-friendly designs and tons of greenery in the décor created by Elite Styles Events, a full-service event planning and design company run by Jessica La-Rotta and Kathiya Zelasco. Queork, along with Melissa Gonzalez of the The Lion'esque Group, will give a talk on how to be fashionably sustainable at events. Eco fashion is a part of the growing design philosophy and trend of sustainability, the goal of which is to create a system which can be supported indefinitely in terms of environmentalism and social responsibility.

Tickets can be purchased for this event on Eventbrite.
