Elite Cycling in the Kansas City area announced on March 5, 2013, that they have acquired the Jackson County Longview Triathlon/Duathlon (August 18, 2013) and the Midwest Meltdown Triathlon/Duathlon ( August 25, 2013) via email and Facebook announcement.
These races will offer a variety of options for athletes. They have long and short course triathlons for individuals and teams, as well as a short-course duathlon. Elite Cycling is looking forward to building upon the success of these two well-known Kansas City races..
The Jackson County triathlon has been a staple of the Kansas City triathlon scene for more than 30 years while the Meltdown race has been around for 7 years through some venue changes.
