Elisabeth Hasselbeck will not be leaving “The View” after all. Barbara Walters has set the record straight about her co-hosts future on the show, Fox News reported on Mar. 11.
According to the report, Elisabeth will not be leaving “The View,” and has not been fired, as rumors have suggested. "There is a particularly false story that keeps getting picked up about Elisabeth's departure," Walters said.
"We value her and appreciate [her] point of view. She helps keep the show balanced. We have no plans for Elisabeth to leave the show,” Barbara confirmed.
However, Hasselbeck’s fellow co-host, Joy Behar, will be leaving the panel, as was reported last week. Joy, 70, will depart the show after its current season, which ends in August.
"When you announced this last week it was very bittersweet," she said. "I want what’s best for you-- I want what’s best of all of you. But I will miss you,” Barbara Walters said of Joy Behar’s departure.
