The shake up on The View has rumors about the ladies spreading like wildfire across the country. With Joy Behar officially leaving the show, there was a rumor that Elisabeth Hasselbeck was being booted out too. While the cast members on the show are tight, it appears that the idea of Elisabeth departing is the farthest from the truth. On Monday Barbara Walters debunked the rumors and set the record straight.
“There is a particularly false story that is getting picked up about Elisabeth’s alleged departure, saying we don’t approve of her conservative views,” said Barbara Walters on The View. “We have no plans for Elisabeth to leave this show.”
While Hasselbeck sometimes has alternate views about situations than the other women around the table, it’s surprising that the rumors around the cast member seemed to have traction. Of course it is Barbara Walters who calls the shots so if she says Elisabeth Hasselbeck is staying, then it’s safe to say that is exactly what will happen.
