Elisabeth Hasselbeck gives President Obama a 'D for Delusional' (video)
On Monday morning's sick and twisted "Day of Hot Topics," the coffee table fishwives of The View took a five minute break from talking about Tiger Woods' overexposure to discuss President Obama's Sunday night interview with Oprah Winfrey. Obama responded to Oprah Winfrey's request to grade himself on his first eleven months in office, by giving himself a B+, but The View's resident Republi-bot Elisabeth Hasselbeck gave him a D,..."for delusional".
"If this is going to reflect at all what the American people are thinking, with his [Obama's] approval ratings down 20% in the past few months...I mean, really the grade,...he should be getting like D for delusional' for giving himself a B+ right now with the economy. He should be asking the American people what grade they would give him, not given himself the grade."
Joy Behar, fresh off her humilating televised apology to non-hooker Rachel Uchitel, snapped back at her: "You know something Elisabeth? Last year we were in a very big financial problem in this country, and he has basically saved us from the brink of disaster, and for that he deserves a B+."
Barbara Walters joined in on the Elisabeth Hasselbeck smackdown: "Elisabeth, you didn't watch last night. I did, so let me tell you what he said." Walters went on to explain that if the health care bill passed, Obama said he would bump himself up to an A- and that he had expected his approval ratings to go down, because there is so much controversy.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck stated that she had been too busy "wrapping gifts" to actually watch the President Obama interview.
Whoopi Goldberg said it was a "dopey" question for Oprah Winfrey to have asked President Obama, but then piped in that she would give Obama a C+, for "not dealing with the gay issue."
