Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s days on “The View” are allegedly numbered, despite Barbara Walters claims that the co-host has not been fired from the show, The Huffington Post reported on Mar. 18.
According to the report, Elisabeth Hasselbeck may be leaving “The View” after all. Rumors began to fly that Hasselbeck was being fired from the daytime talk show because her conservative views clashed with audiences. Barbara Walters put a stop to those rumors quickly.
However, new reports suggest that “The View” is ousting Elisabeth, and that they plan to freshen the faces of the panel, which will also be losing Joy Behar, who announced her departure earlier this month.
“Dumping Joy Behar, who was there 16 years, and Hasselbeck would be the fastest way to do it, they decided,” a source said. “After giving Behar the bad news last week and letting her bow out gracefully, someone leaked the Hasselbeck thing. Some enemies she has on the show saw their chance to get back at her. Barbara was spitting mad that it got mishandled, and called off the firing over [last] weekend.”
It looks like there is more drama going on behind the scenes of “The View,” than on stage.
