Lebanese designer Elie Saab presented his eponymous Elie Saab Fall/Winter 2013/2014 Ready-to-Wear collection in a well-attended fashion show for Paris Fashion Week on March 6, 2013 in Paris, France.
For his Fall 2013 collection Saab uses a jewel-tone color palette to include deep amethyst, teal, deep bottlegreen, topaz yellow, lemongrass yellow/green, and neutrals black and white.
As far as the collection goes with designer Elie Saab, I’m often tempted to focus exclusively on his evening gowns, which he always excels at. Though many of Saab’s cocktail dresses are lovely as well this Fall 2013, including the lemongrass colored chiffon dress and the long-sleeved black lace dress.
Saab’s knee-length deep amethyst tulip-shaped peplum dress with three-quarter sleeves and several of his teal cocktail dresses with matching teal handbag are particularly lovely.
Among the gowns in the Elie Saab collection, favorites include the topaz yellow chiffon gown, the bottle green lace and floral gowns, a sleeveless purple lace gown and several black lace and beaded gowns.
But it’s not just about the dresses and gowns – this autumnal collection also offers ivory pants ensembles, which were topped off very stylishly with floor-length white winter coats.
Shoes during this fashion show were mainly variations on the T-bar, often paired with matching socks for the outfit being accessorized – yes, there were teal socks!
Attending the Elie Saab Fall/Winter 2013/2014 fashion show today were fashionistas Stephanie Newhouse, Hofit Golan, Vahina Giocante, David Wertheimer, Pace Wu Pei Ci and Ines Sastre.
