One of Charlotte’s mega churches has announced on Sunday they will be expanding. Elevation Church in Charlotte will be taking on this endeavor by adding a new campus that seat 1,200 people by Easter 2015, the Charlotte Observer reports.

Being one of the fastest growing churches in the country is reflected by them just opening a campus in the Lake Norman area in January this year that cost over $10 million dollars.

Building of the new site will start soon.

This is a large undertaking financially, but the church has managed their money well and is now a part of the ECFA, (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability).

Elevation is a Southern Baptist Church which was started in 2006. There were only seven families that started this church.

According to an audit for last year’s spending, money coming in and going out both increased and they had also given almost 4 million dollars to charity.
